Around 125 people attended the celebrations of Acadian National Day In the Garden at the Musée des Acadiens des Pubnicos in West Pubnico on Aug. 15.
During the Acadian Garden Party, the emcee was Réal Boudreau. Speeches were given by Chris d'Entremont MLA of Argyle; Aldric d'Entemont, the Warden of Argyle and Mgr Gérald LeBlanc of the Parish of Saint Peters.
The activities included the raising of the Acadian flag with the hynm Ave Marie Stella. There was a guided tour of the garden with Alice d'Entremont.
People could also view a display of painted rocks by Dorothy Marlor.
The cutting of a cake was followed by Acadian music with Eric Surette.
