The annual street parade, a highlight of the Festival Acadien de Clare, was held on Sunday. Aug. 1. This year's parade was awash in Acadian colours. As well, many floats paid tribute to Acadian musician Herb LeBlanc, who died last fall following a battle with cancer. His musical influence was well known and important among Acadians.
