The Salvation Army in Yarmouth has received some help from a local business and a national foundation.

The local Canadian Tire store held a fundraiser for the Salvation Army, an effort that generated over $800, and these funds were matched by the Canadian Tire Foundation for a total of over $1,600.

Some of the money would be used for the purchase of grounds and maintenance items for the Salvation Army, with the rest to be utilized, over time, to meet emergency needs in the community.
