An info session about the growing of haskap berries will be held on Monday, Feb. 4, at noon, in the Mariners Centre community room.

Liam Taylor, commercial director for LaHave Forests, will be presenting the program for potential growers of this super high, anti-oxidant-rich berry that grows well in this climate.

The berries are the earliest to fruit in the season - usually in mid to late June – a week or so earlier than strawberries.

Haskap plantings are being grown in Nova Scotia at LaHave Farms
