Man drowns in Doctor's Lake

A 60-year-old Yarmouth County man drowned last night in Doctor's Lake in Hebron.

RCMP say several witnesses observed and tried to rescue the man after he fell from his small fishing boat. The victim's body was recovered and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Police say he was not wearing a life jacket.

Police are investigating. No charges are expected and the deceased's name has not yet been released.
