Two Christmas tree lightings are taking place this week.

The Municipality of Argyle is holding its tree lighting on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. The tree is located next to the Tusket Courthouse. The tree lighting had originally been slated for Sunday evening, Dec. 2, but was postponed due to the weather. Hot Chocolate will be served at the Tusket Archives to coincide with the event.

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is holding its tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Dec. 7, at its administration building in Hebron.

The activities will begin at 6 p.m. with opening remarks. The tree lighting will take place at 6:30. Other activities will include hayrides, an LED light exchange and a visit by Santa Claus. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
