As September arrives, people increasingly are turning their attention to fall activities, including La Chorale acadienne du sud-ouest, which will be resuming rehearsals in preparation for its annual Christmas concerts.

The first rehearsal will be Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. in the music room of École secondaire de Par-en-Bas. After that rehearsals will be held on Wednesday evenings.

Besides the Christmas concerts, the choir is invited to perform during Music Week at the beginning of November.

The choir’s program will consist of Christmas music.

The choir members are hoping to realize a second CD, this time with Christmas music.

For their first rehearsal, they are asked to bring the following music:

“C’est Noel, la nuit la plus belle”

“Le ciel est noir, la terre est blanche”

“Promenade en traineau”

“Venez mes enfants, accourez venez tous”

Those interested in singing are invited to join the choir.

The concert in the Yarmouth area will be held in La Salle Pere-Maurice-LeBlanc at the school community centre in Tusket.

For more information contact Father Maurice LeBlanc, the conductor (762-2613), or Désiré Boudreau, the choir president (663-2983).
