Tradition & Innovation, an exhibit of contemporary print-making, will open at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Western Branch on Thursday, Jan. 5.

Works are from La Manivelle print shop in Church Point and Th’YARC print shop. Print makers represented include Cecil Day, Ruth Rideout, Denise Comeau, Bonnie Baker and others who have worked at one or both of the studios over the past decade. Four workshops, tied to techniques in the show, will be given over the course of the two-month exhibit.

 

 

An opening reception for Tradition & Innovation will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m., with many of the artists present. Light refreshments will be served.
