On Wednesday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. an opening reception will be held at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Western Branch in Yarmouth, 341 Main Street of art work by students of Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School.

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's Western Branch in Yarmouth is presenting an exhibition of art created by students in David Baldwin's IB Visual Arts 11 and Art 12 class at the high school.

The exhibition features 30 works of art that range from abstraction to realism, with a focus on pencil, painting and sculptural art pieces.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Gallery's Art Reach program. ArtReach supports exciting arts connections in Nova Scotia schools, including exhibitions of student art to celebrate the creative expression of children and youth across the province.

The exhibition will be on display until Aug. 1.
