A show that dancers have been rehearsing for since October will be presented at the new high school on Forest Street on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.

Topics :
MacKenzie School of Dance , Bell Rock , Caribbean

Instructor Michelle MacKenzie refers to

"A Jingle Bell Rock" as a Celtic Christmas show and says the event “is bound to put the audience in the Christmas spirit.”

“Most of the numbers have been choreographed to energetic and upbeat Christmas music like Joy to the World (which the dancers recently performed on the Christmas Daddies telethon), Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and the list goes on,” she said.

There will also be traditional numbers (highland, Celtic and tap) incorporated into the show and a routine featuring Caribbean flavor. For some of the routines the girls will be singing as they dance.

This will be the first time for the MacKenzie School of Dance to perform at the school, a venue that their instructor says she is looking forward to .

Admission is $8 at the door and children under five are free.
