Rain Over St. Ambrose.

Rain Over St. Ambrose is releasing its debut full-length album – Truth for News – at Haley’s Lounge on Friday, Dec. 14.
While the local band saw much success from its four-song EP Overton Window, which included four Nova Scotia Music Week nominations, the band is looking forward to sharing its full-length project with its fans.
Band members include Curt Le Blanc, Cory LeBlanc, Marc Durkee, Luke Amirault and Matt Amirault.
The CD release gets underway around 9 p.m. and will also feature performances by The Rockabillys, Quiet Parade and Lead Mule.
Cory LeBlanc says the band is excited to be launching its first full-length CD. He adds that the response the band got to its four-track EP – which also saw it voted best new band during public voting in a contest sponsored by The Coast – created even more anticipation for this project. And for LeBlanc, also a tiny sense of apprehension. He notes he’s played in other bands that have put out full-length CDs that didn’t get the response that Rain Over St. Ambrose’s four-track EP had.
But revisiting the same studio that they had recorded their EP in brought about a sense of familiarity and comfort, says LeBlanc.
And the accolades the group has gotten for its work thus far also provided a lot of encouragement for the project.
With the other bands that will also be performing, along with Rain Over St. Ambrose’s CD release, LeBlanc says Friday night’s event will be a good time for everyone, both on stage and off.
“It’ll be a fun night,” he says.
