A colourful start is planned for 2013 at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s  western branch in Yarmouth.

Jan. 13 is family Sunday, with the

magazine colour collage at 2 p.m. Participants can explore the folk art gallery’s vibrant colours for inspiration to create their own colour collage.

Cost is $3 per child.
Registration is required as space is limited.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The creative minds series continues on Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. with the Etched in the Imagination presentation.

Cecil Day, Virginia Stoddard and David S. Cain, local artists with experience and expertise in etching and printmaking, will present a collaborative discussion of their art form in the community room.

Topics will include the extension of printmaking into other media such as sculpture; etching with line; aquatint and linocut. Each artist will share individual perspectives on the rewards and challenges of their work. Donations are welcome. For more information call 902-749 2248 or email agnsyarmouth@gov.ns.ca.
