The deadline for nominations for the first Justice Minister's Award for Leadership in Crime Prevention is Friday, March 6.

There will be six award categories to recognize the efforts of those making significant contributions to a safer Nova Scotia.

The Department of Justice will select one nominee in each of the following categories: – individual – youth – community group or organization – community policing – media – business community

For more information on the awards, including guidelines, criteria and nomination forms, visit the department website at www.gov.ns.ca/just .

The awards will be presented on Thursday, April 2 at the inaugural Crime Prevention Symposium in Halifax.
