This is a two-hour session about the basics of file management. Topics covered will include how to create and save files, how to locate lost files, creating folders, moving files and folders and deleting files.
Introduction to Microsoft Excel
Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19, 2 to 4 p.m.
This is a two-part introductory course in Microsoft Excel. Come and learn the basics of spreadsheets. Topics will include navigation, formatting, basic formulas and more.
Internet Safety
Wednesday, March 18, 2 to 4 p.m.
This is a two-hour session covering Internet Safety. Topics will include anti-virus software, firewalls, protecting your e-mail, using your credit card online, and tips for parents with surfing children.
Surviving the Internet? (Teen Program)
Friday, March 20, 2 to 4 p.m.
Can’t keep up with what’s new online? Want to Share with others a cool site you’ve found? This program is for you. We will be sharing with each other our favourite online games, chat sites, and more. Please register ahead of time.
Introduction to Facebook
Thursday, March 26, 2 to 4 p.m.
This is a two-hour session about the Internet Web site Facebook. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, share photos, links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. Learn how to access and use this social networking site.
Introduction to YouTube
Tuesday, March 31, 2 to 4 p.m.
This two-hour session is all about the Internet Web site YouTube. YouTube is a free online video streaming service that allows anyone to view and share videos that have been uploaded by their members.
