The Yarmouth library has a program for young detectives and one for teen daughters and their moms later this month.
On Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 3 to 4 p.m., Detective Bug will allow participants to make a detective bug out of yarn. This program is for children ages seven to 12. Space is limited so participants are asked to register by Aug. 14 by calling the library at 742-5040 or e-mailing yarmouth@nsy.library.ns.ca. Include the event name in the e-mail subject line and your name and phone number in the e-mail.
Would you like to start school with a fresh, new look? Teens and moms will be pampered with skin-care products and colour cosmetics during Back to School Mother/Daughter Skin Care Clinic from 12:30 to 3:45 on Saturday, Aug. 22 at the Yarmouth library.
Denise Melanson will teach the benefits of properly using these products and looking after your skin. She will also demonstrate different techniques on applying colour cosmetics and choosing the colours suited to you. Space is limited so participants must register by Aug. 12 by calling the branch at 742-5040 or e-mailing the branch at yarmouth@nsy.library.ns.ca. Include the event name in the e-mail subject line and your name and phone number in the e-mail. The library is located at 405 Main St. in Yarmouth.
