Pictou County Historical Society Carmichael-Stewart House

Northumberland Fisheries Museum
Features: this museum preserves an important coastal way-of-life detailing many aspects of the fishing industry past, present and future. It is located on three sites and also includes a lighthouse museum and lobster hatchery.

Museum of Industry
Features: a permanent exhibit explaining industrial technology, history of the worker and the worker's family and community. The collection includes some 14,000 artifacts and displays are interactive.

Trenton Steeltown Park- Free access
Facilities: Six-kilometers of walking trails winding through 565 acres of century-old coniferous trees; a two-kilometer mountain bike trail; feed ducks along the shore; glimpse wildlife in their natural habitat; fish trout from stocked ponds; swim 3,000 square-foot swimming pool, playground, picnic tables, grassy activity area. Hourly swims cost $3 per person; family, $9; day pass, $7 per person or $21 per family.
Other free services on Trenton's Main Street: tennis court, skateboard park, ball field.
Hopewell Area, park and Footbridge
Facilities: a scenic drive to a municipal heritage site and one of the last surviving footbridges in North America.

Lansdowne Outdoor Recreational Development Association
Designed to accommodate the needs of the disabled and seniors, however everyone is welcome to enjoy the park, nestled in more than 300 acres of lush forest. This recreational/wilderness park has much to offer besides nature, such as tenting, Bocce Courts and plenty of picnic tables, gazebos and seating to enjoy a barbeque or a picnic for any size group. Fishing from stocked ponds is only reserved as a specialty for seniors and disabled.
