South West Health will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, July 21, at 1 p.m. to open its new cancer centre.

Topics :
Yarmouth Regional Hospital , Nova Scotia

The centre is located on the fourth floor of Building C of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital (the old hospital building).

Maureen MacDonald, Nova Scotia’s new health minister, will be here for the ceremony.

Those who turn out for the event will have a chance to get a tour of the facility. “There are going to be some people there to kind of explain what everything is and where everything is,” said South West Health spokesperson Fraser Mooney. “We’re still moving some stuff in and there will be some equipment that won’t be moved in until after the ribbon cutting.”
