The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps 92 Chebogue held a Battle of the Atlantic Sunday service at Killam's Wharf in Yarmouth Sunday, May 3.

The service is held to commemorate and remember the ships, officers and crew lost during one of the longest campaign battles of the Second World War.

A total of 1,797 RCN and 1,578 Canadian Merchant Marine men and women and 752 RCAF personnel were lost during maritime operations. The army and air force lost another 380 men at sea when ships carrying them were sunk during the war.
