Police say liquor was involved in a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Port Maitland man in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Justin Joseph Haley, 20, was found dead at the scene where his car went off the road on Highway 340 in Moody's Corner, Digby County. An investigation by Meteghan RCMP revealed that the deceased was ejected from the vehicle and the seat belt was not worn.

Speed is suspected and an autopsy was ordered.
