I am totally floored but not surprised at this decision . In my opinion their minds were made up BEFORE this meeting .Our special needs students cannot be transitioned ONE day a week for THREE weeks in the spring and expect them to have benefitted by this come September . Mine says himself it would take about a year for him to become fully comfortable and independant once again in his new surroundings , but that doesn't seem to matter to people on this board . And he would have to attend FOUR different schools in FOUR years. He is being treated as a 2nd class citizen and I'm tired of it !!!!!!! This is a mockery of " Students First " .
