Yarmouth rural RCMP say they've located and arrested a young person in relation to producing and uttering counterfeit money.
The investigation connected the young person — who was released on conditions for a later court appearance — to 12 incidents where counterfeit $20 bills were used in numerous transactions at various businesses within Yarmouth, Yarmouth County and Meteghan during the past four to five weeks.
A search warrant was executed on a residence where equipment to produce counterfeit money was seized.
