The Lobster Splash will take place at more than a dozen local restaurants from Saturday, Dec. 17 to Saturday, Dec. 24.
The event has been organized as part of the 250th celebrations and is being coordinated by local caterer and volunteer Madeleine Daues.
Chefs sharpened their creative muscles to produce such fare as lobster crepes, lobster lasagna, lobster pizza, lobster poutine and many more delectable dishes.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to support local eating establishments (and the all-important local lobster fishery) in the busy shopping week before Christmas.
Souvenir Lobster Splash Passports will be distributed at the participating restaurants. Amongst the signature seafood recipes from some of Yarmouth’s top chefs are a few decades-old family cooking secrets. Prices range from $2.50 for a poutine sampler to $18 for a lobster Florentine appetizer plate.
