Due to impending weather, the Tri-County Regional School Board has closed schools in Digby County and the CSAP has closed schools in Clare on Friday, Jan. 27.

Schools in Yarmouth and Shelburne counties, and schools in Argyle, will remain open on Friday.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Yarmouth County, saying up to 30 millimetres of rain is expected by Saturday morning. The forecast on Environment Canada's website Friday morning called for snow beginning early in the morning then changing to ice pellets this morning and then changing to rain early this afternoon. Risk of freezing rain late this morning. Snow and ice pellet amount 5 cm. Rainfall amount 10 mm.A further 20 mm of rain is forecasted for tonight.
