The Municipality of Yarmouth has a new warden. Murray Goodwin was elected to the position after a second session of voting at the end of the swearing-in ceremony for councillors on Thursday night.

Goodwin, councillor Leland Anthony (the former warden) and councillor John Cunningham were nominated for warden in the first vote.

A tie between Goodwin and Anthony required the second vote.

Steve Paquette is deputy warden by acclamation.
