The Municipality of Argyle is looking at making a financial contribution towards the effort to get a ferry for the Yarmouth area.

The municipality is considering contributing up to $50,000 in response to a request from the Nova Scotia International Ferry Partnership.

The request was made through the local industrial commission and was discussed at an Argyle council committee-of-the-whole session Tuesday.

The Town and Municipality of Yarmouth are being approached as well and the issue was expected to be addressed when the councils of those units meet tonight and tomorrow, respectively.
