All schools in the Tri-County Regional School Board in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties are closed today (Tuesday, Jan. 22) due to the weather. CSAP schools in Argyle and Clare are also closed.

Schools are also closed in most parts of the province.

Environment Canada has a snowfall warning in place today, saying snowfall amounts exceeding 15 centimetres are expected by this afternoon.

Environment Canada says a low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will continue to track northeastward today. Snow associated with the system will spread across the province this morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected to stay offshore however southwestern sections are forecast to receive 15 centimetres or more before the snow tapers to flurries this afternoon.
