West Nova MP Greg Kerr had a minor stroke and his availability likely will be limited for awhile, according to a news release issued Friday afternoon.

“Many people have asked why I cancelled several meetings and events recently,” Kerr said. “The answer is I had a minor stroke.”

Kerr continued, “I feel fine and the only damage seems to be my vision, which has been reduced, hopefully a temporary problem.”

Kerr said he will be focusing on “rehabilitation measures in the coming weeks and my public availability will be limited.”

He said his staff will try to ensure that service is not disrupted.

“Arnold LeBlanc (Kerr’s executive assistant) will be meeting with me regularly so that I am fully briefed on all issues,” he said.
