A residential break and enter has resulted in four arrests of Yarmouth residents.

On Tuesday, June 23, officers from the town RCMP detachment responded to a complaint of a break and enter into a residence on Park Street. No one was at home when the offence occurred.

The investigation has resulted in the arrest of two adult males – one 50 years old and one 18 years old. Both adults have been released on court undertakings for possession of stolen property offences and are to appear in provincial court on Sept. 15. Their names have not been released.

Two youths aged 13 and 14 have also been arrested. The 13-year-old has been released on a court undertaking for possession of stolen property. The 14-year-old has been released on a court undertaking for break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana offences.

Both youths have court dates of Sept. 14.

The RCMP have recovered most of the stolen items that were taken from this residence. The investigation by the general investigation section is still ongoing. Anyone with information about this matter is asked to contact the Yarmouth town detachment at 902-742-8777 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
