The Yarmouth RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant on April 1 under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in Bear River, Digby County, where police say they seized 122 marijuana plants, including 88 mature plants from a grow room located in the basement of the residence.
As a result, one male was arrested and is facing charges of production of marijuana. Further charges are pending. The man’s name has not been released.
The Yarmouth drug section was assisted by Yarmouth IBET, the Digby Street Crime and General
Investigative Service units, and members of the Annapolis Street Crime
Unit.
The RCMP are also thanking the public for their continued support and assistance in providing information on criminal activities.
