A 53-year-old Yarmouth man died following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday in Steam Mill.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 359.
New Minas RCMP members, paramedics and Kentville firefighters responded to the crash after a 911 call was received.
The Yarmouth man died after his Ford skidded on an icy and snow-covered road into the oncoming lane and was struck in the driver’s door by a Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the Dodge pickup escaped without injury.
The highway was closed for about three hours as Annapolis Valley Traffic Services assisted New Minas RCMP members in the investigation of the crash.
Police said late this afternoon no charges would be laid.
