Yarmouth-area athletes were among the participants and medal winners at the 2012 Special Olympic provincial summer games in Antigonish.
Winning silver in basketball were Michael Power, Michael Hagen, George Muise, Kevin Ellis, Cory Dugas, Robert Dalton and Tommy Jacquard. Coach” Adam MacIsaac.
George Muise and Cory Dugas each won a trophy for two-ball skills in basketball.
Bowlers Mark Deveau (silver), Kayne Jacquard (bronze) and Randy Muise (bronze) won medals for the Yarmouth team as well. Coach: Mary Deveau.
David Glover, Rhonda Smith, Susan McMaster, Donna Muise and Iva Paddock also took part in the provincial games.
