Yarmouth Y Whitecap swimmers participated in the Nova Scotia team championships in Halifax at Dalplex, where they combined to place sixth among women and 14th among men, putting them 11th overall out of 30 teams.

Contributing to team points were the members of the senior girls 4 X 100 free relay, who placed 7th.  Members included Hannah Doucette, Nicola Hines, Mary Beth Brown and Charli LeBlanc.

Individual point winners for the women:

Jadyn Bent Hood, 3rd in the C final of the 50 breast stroke for those 12 and under.  

Mary Beth Brown was 1st in the 50 butterfly, 2nd in the 50 breast and 4th in the 50 back for those 12 and under.

Charli LeBlanc placed 3rd in the senior women's 200 back, 1st in the B final of the 100 free, 1st in the B final of the 100 back, 4th in the B final of the 400 free and 2nd in the B final of the 50 free.

On the men's side, Max Poole placed 1st in the C final of the 100 free and the 50 free, 2nd in the C final of the 100 breast, 3rd in the C final of the 200 IM and 4th in the C final of both the 200 back and 100 fly.

Dylan Bower placed 2nd in the C final of the 50 free.

Josh Bower placed 3rd in the C final of the 100 free, 6th in the C final of the 100 breast and 7th in the C final of the 100 back, 200 free and 200 IM.

Carlos Friere placed 7th in the C final of the 100 breast.

Ian Bullerwell placed 4th in the C final of the 200 breast.
