Canada finishes Sochi Olympics with 10 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze medals

Sochi medal count

The Sochi Olympics have come to a close, with Canada ending its games on many golden notes, including a gold medal sweep of both the men's and women's hockey and also the men's and women's curling.

Canada's final medal count was 10 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze. With 25 medals it had the fourth most medals at the games. With 10 gold, it was in third place in the gold medal count.

• Men's hockey Team Canada 3-0 win over Sweden

• Women's hockey, Team Canada 3-2 overtime win over USA

• Canada’s Justine Dufour-Lapointe wins the gold medal in the women’s moguls

• Charles Hamelin wins gold in the speed skating men’s short track 1500

• Alex Bilodeau defends his Olympic title in Men’s Freestyle Skiing Moguls

• Dara Howell ended her run in the Women’s Freestyle Skiing Slopestyle finals on a golden note

• Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse (R) took gold in the Women’s Bobsleigh

• The Jennifer Jones curling rink was perfect at the Olympics, going undefeated to win gold. Team members included Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer, Dawn McEwen and alternate Kirsten Wall.

• The men's curling team skipped by Brad Jacobs completely the Canadian golden sweep of curling by reaching the top of the podium. Team members also included Caleb Flaxey, Ryan Harnden, EJ Harnden, Ryan Fry.

• Marielle Thompson won gold in Freestyle Skiing Womens’ Ski Cross Final  


• Chloe Dufour-Lapointe wins silver in women’s moguls  

• Canada wins silver in the team figure skating competition  

• Mikael Kingsbury wins silver in the Men’s Moguls

• Denny Morrison was the silver medallist in Men’s Speed Skating 1000 m

  • Patrick Chan celebrated a silver win in men's figure skating

  • Dominique Maltais won silver in Ladies’ Snowboard Cross  

• Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Canada’s Scott Moir won silver in ice dance

  • Canada’s Marie-Eve Drolet, Jessica Hewitt, Valerie Maltais and Marianne St-Gelais won the silver medal in the Women’s Short Track 3000 m Relay  

• Mike Riddle celebrated a silver win in the Men’s Freestyle Skiing Halfpipe

• Kelsey Serwa won silver in women's freestyle skiing



• Mark McMorris won the bronze medal in the men’s slopestyle snowboard final

• Kim Lamarre won bronze in Women’s Freestyle Skiing Slopestyle

• Denny Morrison won bronze in the 1,500-metre speed skating

• Jan Hudec wins bronze in the Alpine Skiing Men’s Super-G

• Charle Cournoyer wins bronze in the men's 500-metre short track speed skating
