The Yarmouth Whitecaps placed 15th out of 31 teams at the East Coast Swim Championships in St. John, New Brunswick, which featured teams from all over Atlantic Canada as well as Ontario.
One of the highlights of the meet for the Yarmouth team was the Sr. Women's Bronze Medal performance in the 4 X 100 Free Relay in which all four swimmers averaged one minute for each 100, a milestone for any swimmer, male or female. The team included Charli LeBlanc, Zoee LeBlanc, Jessie LeBlanc and Mary Beth Brown.
In other events, in the senior women Zoee LeBlanc placed 1st in the women's 100 Breast, 8th in the 100 Fly, 7th in the 400 IM, and 4th in the B Final of the 100 Free and 200 IM.
Jessie LeBlanc placed 4th in the 400 IM, 5th in the 200 IM, 8th in the 50 Fly, 2nd in the B Final of the 100 Fly,
Charli LeBlanc placed 2nd in the 100 Back, 4th in the 50 Free, and 5th in the 200 Free with all personal best times, and 8th in the 200 Back. She unfortunately had to leave the meet early due to illness.
In senior men, Cameron Boudreau place 8th in the B Final of the 200 Breast with a personal best time.
The senior girls 4 X 50 Medley Relay and the 4 X 50 Free Relay were 6th and 7th respectively with team members Hannah Doucette, Mary Beth Brown, Zoee LeBlanc and Jessie LeBlanc.
