Registration takes place this week for the Kings hockey school that will run at the Mariners Centre in late August.
The Kings hockey school, formerly the Vikings hockey school, is for novice, atom, peewee, bantam and midget players. The week-long school will be run by head instructors John Murphy and Adam Churchill, along with many other players that have played on local high school teams or Junior C teams in the area.
Churchill stresses that as was the case in past years, this hockey school has no affiliation with YCMHS and/or its hockey team.
Registration for the hockey school will take place on Tuesday, June 22 from 6-7:30 p.m. and on Thursday, June 24 from 7-8 p.m. The cost is $160 for novice, atom and peewee players and $120 for the bantam and midget players.
The camp includes on-ice and off-ice sessions.
The dates of the hockey school are Monday, Aug. 23 to Friday, Aug. 27. A maximum of 25 players will be accepted per group.
