The Yarmouth Atom A Scotia Garden Mariners won the championship game of the Fall Classic in Shelburne on Nov. 25.

Yarmouth went undefeated in the round robin portion of the tournament with a 3-2 win over Shelburne, a 7-2 win over South Shore and a 7-1 win over Sackville.

Yarmouth then played Cole Harbour in the gold medal game. The game ended in a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation and had to go into overtime. Yarmouth won the game 4-3 in OT with Max Nickerson scoring the winning goal. He was named the game MVP.

The other game MVPs during the tournament were Caelan Wallace, Ryan Warner and Isaac Moore.

There were six teams competing at the tournament. The other team at the tournament was Western Valley.

Meanwhile, the Yarmouth Atom A Mariners sit in first place in their 8-team league in the Western Nova Minor Hockey League with a record of four wins, one loss and one tie.
