The Yarmouth Mariners blanked the Campbellton Tigers 3-0 Friday, Jan. 4, in Campbellton.

Kevin Reid led the Mariners with 1 goal and 1 assist.

Kyle Campbell (game winner), playing in his first game back with the team since the 2010-2011 season, opened the scoring at 3:48 to give the Mariners an early 1-0 lead. Braden Mercier (shorthanded) scored at 13:25 to extend the lead to 2-0 after the first period. Reid (unassisted shorthanded) scored at 16:24 to increase the lead to 3-0 after the second period. There was no third period scoring.

Yarmouth went 0 for 3 on the powerplay while Campbellton went 0 for 4.

Travis Wilkins stopped all 24 shots he faced for the shutout win while Miguel Sullivan stopped 35 of 38 shots in the loss.
