The season has come to an end for the Yarmouth Mariners.

The Mariners lost to the Amherst Ramblers 2-0 in Game 6 at the Amherst Stadium on Thursday night.

Neither team scored in the first two periods of the game. With around seven minutes left to go in the third period Amherst's Mitchell O'Neill (Brock Morrison, Kody Orr) scored the first goal of the game – and what would be the game winner – on the powerplay.

The Mariners pulled goalie Travis Wilkins from the net in the final minute for the extra attacker. With 34.7 seconds left Orr (Richard Tingley) scored on the empty net.

The Ramblers will meet the winner of the Truro-Pictou series for the Eastlink Division final. That series is going to a Game 7 on Saturday night following Pictou's 4-2 win over Truro on Thursday.
