Yarmouth resident Gil Dares has been hired as the new general manager of the Yarmouth Mariners Centre.

Dares is retiring from the RCMP in July and will begin his new duties at the Mariners Centre in early August. He takes over from Bob Osadchy who retired as Mariners Centre general manager a few months ago.
