Hanf, who grew up in Yarmouth, will speak on the topic: “The Power of Change and Innovation.”
“Bob's years of corporate and business experience both here in Nova Scotia and abroad will provide our business community with a great deal of insight,” said Chamber President Chris Atwood.
Hanf earned his law degree at Dalhousie University and worked in Western Canada’s energy. Since joining Emera, he has served as the company’s chief legal officer, president and COO at Bangor Hydro Electric Company in Maine, and as executive chairman of Light and Power Holdings in Barbados.
He is a board member of the Energy Council of Canada and the Canadian Electricity Association, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Atlantic Chapter).
He is also Chair of the IWK Health Centre board and serves on the Dalhousie University Board of Governors. He recently completed his Masters of Divinity at the Atlantic School of Theology.
