LAWRENCETOWN - SaltWire Network’s Mark Goudge took a trip to Annapolis County Dec. 21 and discovered that taking a drive down a back road can be worth it.
The professional photographer happened upon Lunn’s Mill Beer Company on Highway 201 just west of the village -- and stopped in to check out their new taproom.
It’s their first year of production and demand for the local craft beer keeps brewers like Sean Ebert and Mark Reid hopping – so to speak.
They’re part owners along with Chef Chantelle Webb and Chad Graves.
The recently opened taproom is all giant slabs of wood for tables, big stools, and tap handles made out of axe handles – all apt considering the brewery is named after a mill. And Lawrencetown was once known as Lunn’s Mill.
Craft beer aficionados will appreciate about eight Lunn’s brews plus a cider or two from other local establishments. Webb has been experimenting with food to complement the drinks.
Mark Goudge’s review? Two thumbs up.
