Two specialists have joined the medical team at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
Obstetrician-Gynaecologist Dr. Leslie Houck started at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in July.
Prior to joining South West Health, Dr. Houck worked at the Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro. Previously she practiced in the American states of Washington and Kentucky. She received her medical training at Dalhousie University after completing a Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University. Dr. Houck is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and has served as a lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University.
Dr. Euiseok Kim, an internist with a special interest in endocrinology, will open his practice before the end of August.
Dr. Kim completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University and the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. He also received training in endocrinology and medical sciences at Imperial College, University of London, United Kingdom. He completed a clinical elective, as well as temporary locum work at South West Health during his Dalhousie residency.
