YARMOUTH _ A media advisory from the federal government says an “important infrastructure event” will take place Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Yarmouth ferry terminal.

The advisory, which came Aug. 31 from Infrastructure Canada, says those slated to be on hand for Tuesday’s event include West Nova MP Colin Fraser (who will be there on behalf of Francois-Philippe Champagne, federal minister of infrastructure and communities), Yarmouth MLA and Nova Scotia Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Zach Churchill, Yarmouth Mayor Pam Mood, Yarmouth Warden Leland Anthony and Argyle Warden Richard Donaldson.

No other details regarding Tuesday’s event were provided.

There has been some recent discussion among local municipal units about the Yarmouth ferry terminal and in June the units applied for infrastructure money.
