The Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure pink toddler swings were manufactured from November 2009 through December 2013 and available for sale from May 2010 to May 2014. Roughly 10,656 of the defective units were sold in Canada.
The swings have a pink T-shaped restraint in front with a Little Tikes logo and are suspended by four yellow ropes.
There have been no reports of injuries in Canada to date.
There have been 39 reports of injuries to children including abrasions, bruises, cuts and bumps to the head outside of Canada, however. Two of the reported injuries included children with a broken arm.
The affected products can be identified by model number 615573 found on the back of the swing seat and UPC 050743615573.
The manufacturing date code is stamped on the back of the seat. The recall includes the molded inner arrow of the date code stamp pointing to either "10," "11" or "12,” as well as the the molded inner arrow of "09" combined with "43" or higher stamped on the outer ring.
Consumers are advised they should stop using the product immediately and contact The Little Tikes Company for a credit.
The public should also be aware the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
