Storm day: schools closed in Digby County and Annapolis Valley

The Tri-County Regional School Board and the Conseil Scolaire Acadien have announced the closure of all schools for a storm day on Dec. 12.

All schools east of the Bear River ( in the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board) are also closed.

Environment Canada is calling for snow about 15 cm of snow to start this morning and 5 mm of rain this afternoon. The wind will be out of the southeast at 30 km/h gusting to 50.

The temperature will rise to 3 degrees C this afternoon.

Showers in the forecast for this evening, flurries tonight and into the morning as the temperature dips down to minus 2. The thermometer is expected to stay below zero Tuesday.
