The return move started the morning of Wednesday, July 26, and was expected to take until end-of-day Friday, July 28.

Most offices and services, including doctors’ offices, should be back to normal operations in their original locations in building B on Monday morning, July 31. One exception is the office of Dr. Marais, which will stay at Acadia First Nation Health Centre.

If patients or the public have questions about the location of their appointment, they are asked to call the program, service or doctor’s office directly.

During the move, some phone lines may be temporarily unavailable. In this case, patients and the public should hear a voice message with further instructions.

There will be a significant increase in activity in and around all levels of Yarmouth Regional Hospital, building B. For safety reasons, and to allow movers to complete their work, people are asked to please try to avoid these areas unless absolutely necessary. Continue to use alternate routes around building B until all moves are complete.

Until the end of this week, the building B elevators will be primarily used by the movers to allow all moves to be completed as quickly and safely as possible.

Offices for Adult Mental Health/psychiatry, which were temporarily relocated to the former Arcadia school, will be closed Thursday and Friday to allow for the move.

Business office payments, transactions and parking card purchases will take place at Admitting/Registration desk, main floor, on Thursday and Friday. The business office will re-open on the fifth floor on Monday, July 31.

Additional volunteers will be on-site to help point patients and the public in the right direction as the hospital starts to get back to normal operations.

For updates on hospital services, people can listen to a pre-recorded message, toll-free, at 1-844-364-7558.
