GRANITE VILLAGE, NS – Police are on the scene Monday morning, April 2, of an overturned propane tanker truck on Hwy 103. The highway is closed in both directions.
Shortly before 8 a.m. Shelburne RCMP received a 911 call of a propane tanker truck with a full load overturned on Hwy 103. Early on the RCMP said motorists, depending on direction of travel, may be required to return to either Liverpool or Shelburne as a detour to access Hwy 103. Later in the morning they said there was one controlled direction of travel but with only one lane open at a time motorists should expected delays.
There have been no injuries and there is no indication of a propane leak at present, according to an RCMP media release. Emergency crews are on scene.
The investigation to determine cause is under investigation.
