C. Frederick "Fred" Bourque — Sand Beach

BOURQUE, C. Frederick “Fred” – 91, Sand Beach, Yarmouth Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at home. Born June 5, 1926 in Sand Beach, he was a son of the late Augustin and Amy (Doucette) Bourque. Fred was a farmer his whole life long and enjoyed doing wood carvings. He is survived by a brother, Delbert Burke, Peterborough, Ont., as well as by many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, Fred was predeceased by sisters, Anna Muise, Hilda Szymanski and Lillian LeBlanc, as well as by brothers, Leonard, Joseph and Lewis Bourque. Visitation will take place from 7-9 Wednesday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. A funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 8 from St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
