George Nickerson — Yarmouth

NICKERSON, George Abram, 88, Yarmouth, passed away April 8, 2018 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born April 12, 1929 in Yarmouth he was the son to the late John and Jennie (Little) Nickerson. George was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting and trout fishing. He was a loving husband to his wife Freda Vickery of 66 years, loving father to his four children and grandfather. He is survived by daughters, Wendy (Gary) Stoddard, Wood’s Harbour; Gloria (James) LeBlanc, Rockville; sons, George (Shelley), Pleasant Lake; Douglas (Shelley), Arcadia; grandchildren, Tina, Stacey, Harold, Micheal; great grandchildren, Trey, Brandon, Emma, Liam, Landyn and Mallorie. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Douglas; twin sister, Joyce; sisters, Katherine and Margaret. As per request there will be a Graveside Service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
