J. Russell Amirault — Yarmouth

J. Russell Amirault
AMIRAULT, J. Russell – age 85, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1932 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Leo and Margaret (Jeddry) Amirault. Russell served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1952 to 1964, after which he worked in a number of different jobs including lobster fishing, CNR Montreal, Automatic Electric, the MV Bluenose, Home Hardware and at Pleasant Supplies. He was involved in the Scout movement, was a model railroad enthusiast, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, E. “Betty” (Huskins) Amirault, as well as by children, Lynda Amirault, Yarmouth; Brian (Lorna) Amirault, Yarmouth; Bruce Amirault, Dartmouth; Lorraine (Michael) LeBlanc, Arcadia; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a brother, Robert (Mona) Amirault, Ontario. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Louise Amirault. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
